Idiots on parade

I have this new commitment. Going to university in toronto has caused this issue for me. Being social...

I have avoided being social almost my entire life. I'm not sure why, but I just have, and I've gotten good at it. But working in toronto means many things, and one thing is that I have to hang out periodically with the people I work with. The game is that you have three strikes, and every time you get invited somewhere you have to say yes at least once per three invitations. But every time you socialize you start back at zero strikes.

So, your probably wondering what happens after three strikes, and I did too. Aparently you stop being invited places. In a way you get shunned from the "cool society" and I wouldn't want to do that. Well its tempting but I don't think its a good idea. I have to work with these people for at least two more years.

This whole story is leading to something, bear with me.

So, I had a party to go to on friday and after work some friends and I went to thee Hard Rock Cafe at younge and dundas. Basically the patio to this place is right across the street from Dundas square, and parked right outside the patio was this:

basically, a stupid ass parked it right in the middle of the busiest place in downtown toronto. And the best part is that he put his four way blinkers on because God knows you need flasing lights to draw more attention to your Bright Orange! Lambroghini! in the early evening!

Anyways as I watched hundreds of passers-by whipping out their cell phone camera to get pictures with this car they would never be able to afford, I laghed at the fact that within hours this dudes battery would be dead from leaving the lights on. Sure enough, before we left, the lights turned on and the car bettery had obviously died.

I am still laughing 3 days later at the thought of CAA coming to give this half-million dollar car a boost...haha

I am a sucky Blogger, I know!

Hey everyone (who even bothers to check this thing after a long absence on my part. I have started a new job at the UNiversity of Toronto, and have officially become a student. I am having a great time in the lab despite a few minor setbacks.

Basically, we study the physiology of sleep which is a wicked topic that never really lacks in interesting things to wonder about. I have slowly been learning the ropes, electronics, power tools and all! We haven't started anylising data yet but I am excited for that part too!

My boyfriend has moved up north to Hailybury for the summer, which is a really sweet oportunity for him. He is site manager for a project that is turning a huge convent into a bunch of condos. He is lonely but he is doing ok. I went up to see him in May on the long weekend, and I will go to visit him again for the July long weekend.

Besides that, I have felt really busy, but I haven't been doidng all that much. I would have graduated on Friday but I decided not to take time off of work to go. I think it would have been boring anyways. I was number 305 and my last name starts with "C" so seriously...

Anyways, thanks for being patient with me. I would say I promise to blog more but seriously...I can't guarentee anything. The summer always does this to me for some reason. I just can't seem to get busy checking blogs etc. after work. It's soo nice outside and there just seems like there is soo much else to do. And besides, lots of the bloggers that I read most often have failed to keep consistant posts too so HA

I love you all!!
